Home doctor qualifications?
House Call Doctor is accredited to provide medical deputising services by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). Our home doctors are qualified and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) meeting the requirement set by the Medical Board of Australia.
At House Call Doctor, we support our doctors with a panel of Medical Directors that oversee clinical governance.


Your home doctor
At House Call Doctor, our doctors come from around the world from countries including Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom and United States. Our home doctors are committed to providing high quality care after-hours.
Our home doctors have a diverse range of specialisations including general practice, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, geriatrics, psychiatry and surgery. We have more than 120 doctors who are specialised general practitioners.
In our team at House Call Doctor, we have  fellows. Our doctors have at least two years’ experience after graduation, but typically most will have more than four.


What is it like as a home doctor?
Dr Ryan Harvey is currently the Assistant Medical Director in Brisbane for House Call Doctor and works as a General Practitioner at a local Brisbane clinic. He has been part of the House Call Doctor team since 2015 and is experienced in paediatric medicine. Dr Harvey has travelled extensively, using his medical training to provide medical care to children in remote locations overseas.
Our doctors say that visiting patients in their own homes is a unique experience that is different to working as a general practitioner. Also, our doctors enjoy the flexibility of the work which helps to create work life balance.
As a home doctor, you will see a diverse range of patients which provides unique and valuable experiences and is fulfilling.
